Is This Summer?

Considering its supposed to be Summer the weather is decidedly cold, not condusive to sitting in the garden knitting or stitching. I have however taken advantage of the cooler rainy weather to continue with my quilting indoors. The end is in sight for the quilting of my log cabin quilt. This week I am listening to Walter Mosley"s book "Fortunate Son" while I quilt.

The garden is really flourishing with the cool wet weather, its nice not to have to water all the time. One of my favourite flowers in the garden right now is one I discovered last year at my local garden centre. Its a Spider Lily. It has masses of blooms every morning but by evening they're all closed up, next morning they're there to greet me again.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog (Sourwood Mountain)! Glad to know someone in lovely Canada--I went there once (Ontario) when I was a teenager. You have a beautiful blog site.
